Luxury fabric care guide

Worn well.
Kept well.

How to wash, dry, iron and store the fabrics worth keeping. Real materials, real instructions, no guesswork.

A cost-per-wear investment only pays off if the piece survives long enough to be worn fifty times, not five. Most damage to a good garment happens at home, not in the shop: the wrong wash temperature, a tumble dryer, an iron pressed straight onto embellishment. None of it is complicated once you know the fabric. This is the guide by pav gives clients, covering the materials that come up most in a Dubai wardrobe, including the ones OrphusOfficial works in.

Before you wash anything

01

  • Check the label firstA care label overrides any general rule here. Follow it.

02

  • Spot testTest detergent and water on a hidden seam or hem before doing the whole piece.

03

  • When in doubt, dry cleanStructured, embellished or exotic pieces cost far less to dry clean than to replace.
