Who pays you?
A shopper paid by a shop is working for that shop. An independent shopper is paid by you, by the hour, and can walk you out of a boutique empty handed. In-store personal shoppers at the big malls are free, and tied to the store they sit in.
What is the minimum, and what happens if we run over?
Ask for the minimum booking and the rate after it in writing. With Pav it is three hours, then 15-minute blocks of AED 87.50.
Is anything pulled before I arrive?
Curation before the session is the difference between shopping and being shopped for. Without it you are walking a mall with company.
Do you work with my size and my budget?
Say the number out loud before the session. A good shopper works to it rather than around it.
What do I leave with?
Complete looks, or separate buys that still do not go together. Ask which.
